Guy Martinelli served as President of the Society of Plastics Engineers in 1964 -- eleven years prior to Harold Holz. Guy joined the SPE in 1950 (eight years after its formation), and was instrumental in instituting key beneficial changes to the Societys Annual Technical Conference format.
Guy also served as Chairman of the Plastics Institute of America, and was a guiding force in the expansion of their programs. He served as President of the Plastics Pioneers Association in 1989, and helped to establish a scholarship fund for students seeking careers in plastics.
Guy also has served as a President in his non-volunteer life as well. He held that position at Sylvan Plastics, Dimensional Pigments, and American Polymers, before founding Accolade Plastics and Chemical Associates - consultants in the area of mergers and acquisitions. |
