Earl S. Tupper
Furthered the growth of polyethylene after World War II. As president of Tupperware Corp., he used the properties of polyethylene fully in the production of household plastics ware. The high-quality items, marketed via house-party plans, were instrumental in improving the image of plastics among consumers.
